Broken Pool Table Slate
This pool table slate was damaged due to disassembly inexperience. This 3/4″ slate had screw head that were covered with putty and the person who disassemble the pool table years ago tried to remove the slate from the table with out removing the (hidden) screws. The slate cracked. We were able to reassemble this pool table after it had been sitting for years in a garage. We repaired the slate and now the table plays level and true.
Buying a Pool Table from Costco?
We love Costco. We shop there on a regular basis. But if you’re thinking about buying a pool table from Costco.com beware that delivery is included but installation and setup might not be. This means they will deliver your new pool table but not set it up. Crates/pallets will be left in your garage for you to deal with. You should also know that most first-time installation require more time and labor and therefore cost more than a standard setup. We also want to remind you that although most tables come with instruction manuals to assist building and installing the new pool table, it is still a difficult job that requires experience. Be sure that you factor in the cost of first-time setup when looking at costs of buying pool tables online.
