Here is an antique Brunswick-Balke-Collender Royal billiard table that we were hired to move from an upstairs room to our client’s garage. This massive five by ten-foot pool table weighs in at an incredible 1600 pounds, almost as much as two standard size eight-foot pool tables. The Royal, circa 1928, features a three-piece slate bed. Each slate is 1.5 inches in thickness and weighs a whopping 400 pounds each. Coming downstairs with each slate was probably one of the most difficult tasks that my crew and I have ever done. We transported the table to my client’s home, also in Yorba Linda, luckily there were no stairs on the receiving end!

Nice table! Just bought one like it. Slate is 1.5 inches thick on mine also. ( Brunswick Royal normally came with 1 inch slate, 1.5 was extra when you bought one new.) These are very heavy as the guy I hired to move it knew well. ( Loaded slate by himself ) A Cadillac Snooker Table!!!!!!
David, your comment takes me back to the day we moved that mammoth 5×10 BBC from my client’s upstairs game room. Enjoy your table my friend, they sure don’t make them like they used to! Well actually I take that back, Connelly Billiards produces a mega monster pool table called the Ultimate! The ultimate features 2 inch thick slates, another back breaker to deliver!
