Even after twenty-plus years in the business, a regular setup can still throw you a curveball. When we arrived at this Orange, California home, we had a little surprise. The pool table was a Palason Billiards Table from Canada. Square heads on the hardware made this a difficult install. To save a trip back to the shop (or the hardware store), we were able to borrow the homeowner’s tool set.

The other funky thing about these tables is that the slate liner is installed AFTER the slate is leveled and seams sealed. It is a bit awkward, but necessary to install the pockets.

It took a little longer than normal, but it looks great and the family has something to remind them of home.
