Packing Your Pool Table for a Move

Pool Table Slates Crated for Long-Distance Move

Moving your pool table locally is a bit different than moving it long distance. When moving a household, moving companies require your billiard table to be not only disassembled, but the slates also crated. The crates protect the heavy yet fragile pieces of stone.

We recently disassembled this Olhausen Billiard table in Coto de Caza, California. We carefully wrapped the rails in a moving blanket and boxed the pockets and existing cloth. We removed the legs from the frame and crated each of the three slates. Leaving everything ready for the movers means this beautiful pool table will be an easy setup in its new (and faraway) home.

Thank you for explaining that your pool table should be disassembled when you move it. I’ve been wondering how we’re going to get our pool table moved to our new home. I’ll be sure to arrange for it to be disassembled when we get the movers here.
